Yanara glorified (an Egyptian procession)

My Italian slave Andrea sent Me a new story, this time he describes a procession en ancient Alexandria. He wrote it in Italian, and I needed Google to translate in Dutch. Sometimes the translation is very weird, but at last I succeded to make a  text that made sense, and again Google was used to write in in English. Please any remark about language or the story itself is very welcome.

Goddess Yanara ruled the Empire, that Ptolemaeus, a Macedonian general of Alexander the Great , had acquired.  After the death of Alexander, the great Empire crumbled, but there was still a certain cultural link between all these conquered lands. Greek was used as the official language and the cult of the popular Egyptian goddess Isis was spread everywhere.
In Egypt GoddessYanara,  worshiped as the incarnation of Isis, could gain enormous power if She would be accepted in other countries as well.
The idea that Goddess Yanara would obtain the spiritual leadership of the whole civilized world was joyfully received by all the kings, because their actual power remained untouched, and moreover they were guaranteed of a certain solidarity with the associated peace in the region.
So a grand ceremony was planned in Egypt where the goddess Yanara would be recognized and honored as the supreme Goddess in Alexanders ancient empire..

the ceremony
The ceremony will take place on the square in front of the Temple of Isis. This temple is about 2 miles away from the palace of Goddess Yanara, and a long marble avenue is between the two sacred buildings.
The Goddess Yanara is carried to the temple of Isis where She will be recognized and worshiped as the supreme Deity by all the kings and rulers of the various countries

Thousands of people from Alexandria and surroundings gathered to catch a glimpse of the Godhead. They stood in the blazing sun for hours waiting along the wide avenue. The procession with Goddess Yanara was formed on the large square in front of the Palace.

the procession
24 soldiers in blue tunics marched in front, with colorful banners representing the Goddess Isis.
Then 144 priestesses of Isis followed, all dressed in bright long white robes. They constantly invoked the Goddess Isis repeating the famous prayer "Awake" in Egyptian.

Nehes, nehes, nehes,
Nehes em hotep,
Nehes em neferu,
Nebet hotepet
Weben em hotep,
Weben em neferu,
Nutjert en Ankh,
Nefer em Pet!
Pet em hotep,
Ta em hotep,
Nutjert sat Nut,
Sat Geb,, Merit Auser,
Nutjert Asha-renu!
Anekh hrak
Anekh hrak
Tua atu, Tua atu,
Nebet Aset!

Awake, awake, awake,
Awake in peace,
Lady of Peace,
Rest thou in peace,
Rise thou in beauty,
Goddess of Life
Beautiful in Heaven.
Heaven is in peace,
Earth is in peace
O Goddess,
Daughter of Nut,
Daughter of Geb,
Beloved of Osiris,
Goddess rich in names!
All praise to You,
All praise to You,
I adore You,
I adore You,
Lady Isis!

From time to time they halted, turned and knelt bowing deeply in the direction of Goddess Yanara.

This goup of priestessess was followed by 144 priests of Isis. They wore white tunics and 24 of them carried a large life-size statue of the Mother Goddess (Isis).

Behind the priests came 12 slaves in red tunics with banners showing the cartouche of Goddess Yanara.

This group was followed by the priestesses of Yanara, all dressed in  transparent blue, orange and green colors. They constantly worshiped Goddess Yanara reciting the famous mantra:
Exalted Goddess, we worship You
Divine Queen, we glorify You
Divine Majesty, we obey You.

They also stopped frequently to kneel and bow down deeply in the direction of the Goddess.

Then came the priests of Yanara, dressed in golden tunics, and their faces and arms were also made up in gold. 36 of them bearing a large golden statue of the Goddess.

Just behind them came 36 women in silver dresses, each with two naked slaves on a leash, crawling on hands and knees . This was an idea of Goddess Yanara Herself to show Her unlimitted  power over men.

24 men in green tunics and green headgear were beating huge drums and the procession moved forward on their rhythm.   Between these drummers and the sedan chair,  half-naked boys and girls with colored wings on their backs, strewed fragrant flowers on the road.

At last She appeared, the living Goddess. Especially for this occasion, a sedan chair was made in the shape of a pyramid. The base was the huge bed on which the Goddess and two concubines lay, and the four sides were formed by golden curtains that could be opened. The construction was carried by 48 naked young men ,volunteers from all regions of Egypt. They slowly crawled on hands and knees under the burden, on the rhythm of the drums. Around this litter dozens of slaves walked on their knees with great fans and incense burners.
The Divine Queen lay on the bed, wrapped in a thin golden dress and adorned with all her precious jewels. She wore the Isis crown and a huge transparent cloak was attached to Her necklace and both arms. Two lovely concubines were at Her side,  kissing the Feet of Goddess Yanara, who looked down proudly through the curtains on the kneeling and bowing people.

Finally 96 naked and chained slaves followed, crawling as worms over the marble tiles, which they kissed and licked to honour  the living Deity.
