A common night

Goddess Yanara came out of the powder room, wrapped in a translucent robe made of the purest linen. On Her golden heels, She stepped into the bedroom in a cloud of the most exquisite perfumes. She snuggled  comfortably  on Her bed and clapped her hands to summon Her concubines.

I lay on the floor with my big fan beside me. A priestess commanded me to fan the Goddess. Like lightening I took my white fan, and on sitting on my knees I started  to cool Her. I  belonged to the lucky ones who were allowed to behold Her, and the sight of the Goddess excited me , by the combination of Her beautiful body and the unlimited power She had. She lay on her bed, almost naked and only a few jewels covered the most intimate and sacred body parts.  The concubines knelt before Her and they giggled and taterd all together just like women do. Suddenly the Goddess turned her head in my direction and she beckoned me. I think I blushed to the roots of my hair, for it was the first time She payed attention to me, a lowly slave.
I put the fan quietly on the floor and crawled on my stomach , kissing the floor, to Her bed. I bowed deeply at Her feet in worship and waited with beating heart for further orders.
The murmuring of the concubines stopped because they felt that something strange was happening. I pressed my forehead against the cool marble and waited anxiously for a command, a touch ....
The Goddess tapped with the handle of her whip on my head:  "You, slave, on your knees!" She commanded. With my wrists crossed at the back, i lowered my eyes to the floor. " Bow deeper , slave," She commanded.  . Then  She touched my left shoulder whith Her whip, and She made circles around my nipples. The whip followed my sternum down to my navel. I struggled to keep my balance, and I felt the blood flow to my lower abdomen.
She tapped my orange colored loincloth "slave , I want to see you naked!"
I prostrated  while She spoke, and then I knelt and took my garment off.
I bowed and waited in ecstacy.
The Divine touched  my half erect penis with Her whip, and I heard her laugh.
"Well girls,  this slave should serve Me as one of My worshipers?" Again I prostrated on the floor in worship while She spoke. The concubines cackled together until the Goddess commanded them to be silent. Again she patted me on the head with Her whip: "What is your name, slave?" "Heavenly Goddess and Divine Queen, this humble servant is called mensah"
"Well mensah,  tonight you will serve Me  in my bedroom ! Prepare yourself, because I'm tired and will go to bed soon! "
I crawled  out of the room on my belly to prepare myself as a member  of night shift. One of the worshipers was informed that I took his place, while I bathed again and i received a golden loincloth. Then, my nails were painted and  my face was made up. I looked like a real worshiper , except that  my head was shaved . A priestess taught me now what I should do as a worshiper during the night, and she told me that it is not a hard job. I felt reassured at last.
When I was ready, the night shift assembled:  as always two equal teams of 12 persons:

1 concubine;
2 priestesses;
2 erotic slaves;
2 worshipers;
2 floor slaves;
1 foot slave;
1 fan slave;
1 incense slave.

The beautiful concubine went first into the bedroom, followed by the two priestesses. Then came the worshipers (myself included!) and erotic slaves, crawling  on forearms and knees. Ten the incense slave  swinging his censer, together with  the fan slave. Finally followed the foot and floor slaves  creeping on their bellies and the kissing the floor .
The people of the Royal Court having served the Goddess  during the day left the room and trust the Divine Queen to our concerns.
Goddess Yanara  said she wished to sleep now. The concubine leading our team showed everyone his place  around the huge bed. The two priestesses knelt on red pillows befor the bed, and we, erotic slaves and worshipers, had to kneel  at the four corners of the bed  with our heads owed down on the bed. The foot slave prostrated at the side where the Goddess would step out of the bed, The fan slave and incense slave finally knelt down along the bed to accomplish their tasks if needed.
Silently I crept to my place and I put my head on the perfumed bed. Here I would spend the next few hours in silent adoration, until the second team would relieve. The Divine Queen Yanara sent the concubine away. The darkness had already occupied the room and after a short time I only heard the gentle and quiet breathing of the sleeping Goddess.

Yanara's royal barge

Navigation

The slow flowing Nile was almost ideal for transportation though occasional storms might endanger shipping or lack of wind hold it up. From earliest times Egyptians built boats for transportation, fishing and enjoyment. Their importance in every day life is reflected in the role they played in mythology and religion.
Little is left of actual boats. Remains of Old Kingdom boats were found at Tarkhan and Abydos, and King Khufu's ship is well known and demonstrates best how ships were built during that period.
The first dynasty boats found at Abydos were about 25 metres long, two to three metres wide and about sixty centimetres deep, seating 30 rowers. They had narrowing sterns and prows and there is evidence that they were painted. They do not seem to have been models but actual boats built of wood too much decayed to analyse, some suspect that it was cedar, others deny this. Thick planks were lashed together by rope fed through mortises. The seams between them were caulked with reeds. The boats did not have any internal framing and were twisted when they were uncovered.
Egypt abounds with pictures and models of boats and ships. The walls of temples and tombs at Deir el Bahri and Medinet Habu are covered with them, but very little is known, about how New Kingdom ships were actually put together.

    Sometimes we know what the boats looked like without knowing what they were called, at others we have their names but do not really have much of a clue what they looked like. On the coffin of the 4th dynasty prince Minkhaf, which was found in a mastaba in the eastern Giza cemetery, there are inscriptions of offerings and among them a list of boats:
1000 SAbt-boats, 1000 wAHt(?)-boats, 1000 sTr-boats, 1000 nHbt-boats
W.S.Smith surmised that the nHbt with its determinatives of 'lotus-flower' and 'boat' was probably a light reed boat.
 Models of logboats from a Giza tomb and from a site in the Delta have survived, but dugouts were probably very unusual, as trees of suitable size and timber quality were rare in Egypt .

The state involvement
 A number of pharaohs saw the need for a strong navy, i.e. Snefru who according to the Palermo Stone built 100-cubit ships of meru wood  and 60 sixteen-barges before hacking up the land of the Negro, bringing of 7,000 prisoners, and 200,000 large and small cattle, Thutmose III, the architect of the empire in Asia, Necho II struggling with the Babylonians and Ramses III, who had to contend with the Sea Peoples. Ramses wrote a 'report' to Amen
I built you ships, freight ships, arched ships with rigging, plying the Big Green (the sea). I manned them with archers, captains and innumerable sailors, to bring the goods of the Land of Tyre and the foreign countries at the end of the world to your storage rooms at Thebes the Victorious.
The royal fleet was supervised by the Chief of the Royal Ships, an important administrative rather than military position, which under the 26th dynasty seems to have included the responsibility for the taxation of merchandise transported on the Nile.
Under Thutmose III the butler Nebamen and under Amenhotep II another butler, Suemniut, were given the office; and in a later era of economical and political growth, the Saite Period, the Overseer of the Scribes of the Magistrates Tjaenhebu, and, under Ahmose II, Hekaemsaf and Psammetik-mery-Ptah filled the post. A like title, Chief of the Ships of the Lord of the two Lands, was bestowed upon one Paakhraef.
Temple fleets were similarly organized: The priests of Amen appointed a Chief of the ships of Amen, the servants of Ptah a Chief of the Ships of the House of Ptah.
Egyptian seagoing ships were inferior to those used by other peoples, despite remarkable feats achieved, among them the expeditions along the eastern coast of Africa during the reign of Hatshepsut at the beginning of the 15th century BCE and the crossing of the Indian Ocean with seventy metre long ships in the times ofRamses III 300 years later. From the 20th dynasty onwards the Egyptians began to copy ships used by their rivals.
Many trade and exploration ventures were initiated by the administration, such as the voyages to Punt under Hatshepsut and the circumnavigation of Africa by Phoenician sailors under Necho.
Private ownership of ships existed at least during the First Intermediate Period, documented by biographical inscriptions. The weakness of the state and its consequent inability to build ships needed for the transportation of people and goods stimulated private enterprise.
During the Late Period Greeks and Phoenicians spread along the Mediterranean coast, building colonies. The Ionians and Carians settled in the Delta and their centre of Naukratis became an important port and was encouraged by a number of pharaohs.

Religion

People give me feedback, sharing wonderful ideas.
The idea of a new religion is very exciting, and paves the way to a more intensive femdom.

a slave dressed as a cupid  worships Goddess Yanara's mantle

Goddess Yanara is the reincarnation of the great mother Isis. There is no doubt She is a living Goddess, and mortals are born to serve Her, to fulfil all  Her whims. Her Divine body is sacred, and no living being is allowed to touch Her without permission.
Even Her clothes are sacred, and everything She touches is worth to be worshipped.
How do slaves show their devotion?
  • slaves have to kiss the floor She walks on
  • slaves worship Her shoes
  • slaves worship her clothes
  • slaves bow down deeply as She talks
