Goddess Yanara's eye makeup

Gaze at the myriad portraits of ancient Egyptians and what looks back? Consistent meticulously and beautifully outlined and ornamented eyes. It is virtually impossible to find a portrait of an ancient Egyptian whose eyes are not decorated. During all periods and dynasties, eye makeup was a daily prerequisite for both men and women.
Although we know the Egyptians possessed the equivalent of our rouge, lip-gloss and nail polish, these were used only upon occasion, apparently as a matter of personal preference, style and fashion. The ancient Egyptian tradition of outlining the eyes with pigment to create an almond or feline shape and the importance placed upon this practice, however, transcends the Western concept of eye makeup. "Makeup" to modern Westernized ears has the ring of something frivolous, something optional. Although cosmetics were certainly used for the purpose of beautification, in ancient Egypt, eye makeup did more than paint a pretty face.
As we have seen to be typical of the ancient Egyptians, they took a truly holistic approach to the concept of eye makeup. Not only was it decorative and ornamental, the practice also served medicinal, magical and spiritual practices.
The Egyptians used two types of eye makeup:
Udju was made from green malachite (green ore of copper) from Sinai. Sinai and its mines were considered under the spiritual dominion of Hathor, ancient goddess of beauty, joy, love and women. She bore the epithet "Lady of Malachite."
Mesdemet, a dark gray ore of lead, was derived from either stibnite (antimony sulphide) or, more typically, galena (lead sulphide.) Galena was found around Aswan and on the Red Sea Coast. It was also among the materials brought back by Pharaoh Hatshepsut's famed expedition to Punt and was given in tribute by Asiatic nomads.
The packaging and preparation of eye makeup was quite different from what we are used to today. Today, we have the choice of liquid, powdered or cake eye makeup. If you find yourself all thumbs at applying liquid eyeliner, no problem, you can just purchase a pencil instead. We have a vast array of colors available to us. Although the nuances of color are virtually endless, very rarely do we know precisely what our makeup is made from, what's actually in the makeup or how it was made. Once the product is purchased, it's ready to be used: all you have to do is open the package and apply the stuff to your eyes.
In ancient Egypt, preparations were a little more extensive. The cosmetic material had to be powdered on a palette and then this powder mixed with a substance, (analysis indicates that these were usually ointments derived from animal fat) to make the powder adhere to the eye.
Eye makeup equipment (palettes, grinders, applicators) has been found among the earliest burials of the pre-dynastic period and seem to have been essential items for the afterlife.
Even the humblest graves consistently contain at least a simple palette. Small containers of galena have been found in tombs alternately stored in leather or canvas pouches, small jars, conch shells or within hollow reeds. What separated rich from poor was not the existence of makeup but the expense and luxury of containers and applicators. Everyone had galena powder however while the poor resorted to sticks to apply it, the wealthy had intricately carved and bejeweled containers of ivory or other precious materials.
That the Egyptians decorated their eyes with great aesthetic care is immediately obvious. Eye cosmetics bestowed beauty and style as well as other gifts, perhaps less immediately apparent to modern eyes.
Galena possesses disinfectant and fly-deterrent properties. It is believed to offer the eyes protection from intense sun. The medical papyri frequently prescribe mesdemet for assorted complaints of the eye.
Eye make up provided psychic protection as well. The Egyptian word for eye-palette seems to derive from their word for "protect." An unadorned and thus unprotected eye was believed vulnerable to the Evil Eye. Outlining the eyes thus became a personal protective amulet drawn right upon the skin; an amulet that once applied could not be lost or misplaced.
There may very well also have been further spiritual dimensions to eye makeup. Perhaps wearing malachite placed one solidly under Hathor's protection and Hathor was a very prominent goddess, with centers of worship throughout Egypt and as far a field as Byblos. In modern India, henna powder (mehendi) is believed to contain something of the essence of the goddess Lakshmi, who, like Hathor, was a powerful goddess of beauty, good fortune and benevolence. When henna is applied to the body, some small measure of Lakshmi's sacred presence and protection is to be imparted to the wearer. Thus the potential for transforming an everyday activity such as eye makeup application into a personal, sacred and protective ritual. The associations between Hathor and malachite were very strong. Perhaps applying the powder to one's body was to partake of something of the essence of Hathor herself. Certainly kohl, as galena is known today, contains spiritual significance to many modern North African women. It is a material and substance to be treated with awe and respect: in a Moroccan tradition, for instance, kohl serves as a reminder of the Kaaba, Islam's holy black stone housed in Mecca.
Galena is still used in Egypt under the name kohl. It is easily and inexpensively purchased in the marketplace. Outside of Egypt, it is easily purchased through vendors that supply accessories to Eastern dancers. Buy from reputable dealers only (and the little old ladies in the marketplace who mix up their own kohl may be the most dependable and reliable of all) to ensure that what you are purchasing is not made from cheap, harmful, eye irritating materials.
Although it is impossible to authentically and exactly reproduce ancient Egyptian perfumes, the kohl that is available today is basically the same thing that was familiar millennia ago. Applying kohl to your own eyes allows you to transcend the barriers of time. Even the kohl applicators and containers have not changed over the centuries. Real kohl usually comes in a little box containing a stick-like applicator and a compartment for the make up itself. An ancient Egyptian woman time-traveling to the present would surely find much to puzzle her but hand her a modern kohl container and stick and she would know exactly what to do with it. On the other hand, a modern woman, used to conventional methods of eye makeup application, might be a little perplexed by the box and stick. Learning to apply kohl the traditional way can be a little tricky as most modern people have been indoctrinated since early childhood about the dangers of putting a stick anywhere near the eye* but with a little practice, it's easy to get the hang of it.

Good morning, Your divine Majesty!

Goddess Yanara was lied in Her bed that was totally covered with gold colored sheets; the luscious fabric gently stroked Her divine beautiful body from Her toes to Her head. At Her feet were lied four of Her favorite  slaves. The feet of the Goddess were rested on the chests of the two most gifted young men, while the other two slaves were petting Her divine feet and toes with their skilled tongues. The Goddess moved Her divine body down among the pillows and decided that it was time to get up. She extended Her fully diamond loaded hand at the direction of the huge windows and immediately two of Her slaves had he curtains spread.
Goddess Yanara gestured at Her head maids and they rushed to fec. Her bathrobe. Two maids lifted the sheer blanket and another two kneeled by the bed, helped their divine Queen to put Her legs out of the human pillow of the bed on the back of a pronely lied slave. Another maid gently put on the sleek legs of the Goddess Her golden sleepers and then she kissed the divine fingers. Two maids helped the Goddess to climb out of bed, standing on all fours. While the Deity was standing on the slaves naked back ,two other slaves wapper Her body with a long barguzin sheer robe. The flooring of the bedroom was immediately fully covered with pronely lied slaves so that the Goddess could walk on Her human carpet. Out from the windows the bright sunlight of a new hot day filled the bedroom. Sunbeams played over the golden furniture, the golden picture frames and the cupper mirrors. Goddess Yanara went in front of the huge window; behind it there was a view of the gardens surrounded her Palace; somewhere in the distance out of the fog it was visible the banks of the Nyle river . She shut Her eyes from the bright Sunlight.

Her head maids dared to announce that the bath was ready while they were kissing Her bejeweled hands. Goddess walked to the bedroom door that led into the bathroom over the lied backs of Her human carpet. On Her pace, she smashed a few heads with Her sharp talons. Goddess Yanara always enjoyed to crash a few heads and bodies while She was just waken up.
Her bathroom was decorated in the same Egyptian style with the bedroom with amber and gold. In the center stands a huge tub of pure gold, encrusted with blue topaz, so when the light falls on the water, it seems like the Goddess is bathed in a million glowing sparks. On their knees were already waiting two servants who decorated the water in the tub with petals of roses, orchids and violets and as soon as they heard the divine steps they opened the door and fell down.

Goddess went to a huge mirror to admire Herself, then She went to the tub where two slaves took off Her barguzin robe. The Goddess, supported by two handmaids ascended into the tub. Then, two concubines started bathing Her. After a few minutes that the Goddess stayed in the hot perfumed water, the skilful hands of Her servants gently washed Her body and massaged Her, starting from the neck and ending to the toes. Goddess lifted Her leg out of the water and one of Her slaves started licking Her leg.
The Goddess kicked hard one of Her slaves and said:

-“ Bring Me My white Isis robe and the matching sandals!”
- “Yes most Sacred Goddess”, the slave answered and he rushed to execute the order of the Goddess.

Until the slave returned with the white Isis robe and the sandals, the rest slaves helped Her to take a foot bath. Then She came out of the bathroom and stood up on the back of a slave as on a bench, who he intentionally had on his back a pelt of desert fox. The rest of the maids wrapped Her body in a soft towel and began gently drying Her. The slave indeed returned with the Isis robe and sandals and had the naked body of the Goddess wrapped up in the robe and Her beautiful legs standing over the sandals with 5" golden talons.
As usual, the slave paid the honor to his Goddess feet.
Before the Goddess left the bathroom, She ordered:

- In My absence, you must lick from the floor of the bathroom all the water drops that fell from My body; then give the water of the bath to the rest of the slaves and the servants of My palace to drink it; they will have the pleasure and joy to savor My essence and ease their thirst with the water of their Goddess!
Goddess went to the beauty salon. All Her slaves expected her in the corridor in front of the bedroom. The maids, as soon as they saw Her, they fell down and kissed Her feet. On both sides of the rich purple carpet there were lied Her personal slaves; twelve discrete so called erotic slaves that were continuously accompanying Her. Their duty was to foresee everything for Her so She wouldnt bother to give oral instructions. They were fixated on Her, guessing the unspoken orders. Goddess didn't pay any attention to them as they were just consumable items. But if they made a mistake, lashing was their reward.

Goddes's beauty salon is a huge hall, decorated with white marble, agate stones and jasper. There stands the golden massage table, a laid blanket of white chinchillas and a large armchair covered with white mink, in which the Goddess sat down, and there the maids were making manicure and pedicure and dressing Her hairs. Goddess dropped Her bathrobe and She went onto the massage table. After she had her massaging, a slave wrapped Her divine body in a bathrobe, and then the Goddess was sat on the mink covered chair. Her nail maids carefully applied a transparent rich red color in Her divine nails. The hairdressers followed and they fixed Her long hair into big curls.
Next was applied Her perfume. The maids dried Her nails and made Her a foot massage; then they applied onto Her divine feets some creams. While some maids were caressing the Goddess's body, another was kneeling and holding the pillow with Goddes's shoes. As soon as all the maids finished their work, the pillow holding slave girl held the feet of the the Goddess and she kissed Her toes that were visible through the open capes of Her sandals. All the maids that were dealing with the Goddess in the beauty salon fell pronely in front of Her mink chair, and one after the other they were worshipping Her sandals.

After the beauty salon the Goddess went to Her dressing room along with Her personal slaves. The dressing room was a huge hall, with walls fully covered with cupper mirrors. There was a huge chair covered with desert lion pelt and near it there was a table onto which the Goddes's breakfast was served. Beside the table there was kneeling a maid, and at the door there were lied a dozen maids who had the duty of bringing and demostrating the Goddes's outfits until She would decide what She would wear.
The Goddess entered in the dressing room and She went on the lion covered seat. Her personal slaves went in after Her, and they helped the Goddess to sit comfortably and also fix Her luxurious robe. A young slave boy crept under the beautiful feet of the Goddess, and he became Her human pouf. Then the rest of the personal slaves lied at the feet of the Goddess, and they again began to kiss Her feet. The Goddess ordered the dressing maids to fetch her clothes, so they disappeared into the mirrored doors that led to the huge walk-in closets. While the dressing maids were dealing with the outfit that Goddess would put on, She decided that it was time to have Her breakfast.

One maid drew a table with golden tray in which the breakfast was served. Goddess drank orange juice, and then She ate some bread that caused Her fingers a little soiled, so one of the personal slaves had the honor to lick them and then to wipe them with a cloth of pure white silk. The breakfast was finished and one maid removed the golden tray with dishes off the golden table. It was time now for the Goddess to get dressed , so Her personal slaves helped to rise from the chair, and to go in front of one of the mirrored walls.
The dressing maids came close with the outfits of the Goddess while Her personal slaves moved behind Her. The goddess took off Her shoulder her bathrobe and one of the personal slaves caught this bathrobe before it would get dropped on the floor. So the dressing maids began putting the Goddess outfit onto Her. At first, they put on Her white panty.   They dressed her feet in golden stiletto sandals. Finally they put on Her long white sheer skirt.

It was time now for Her jewelry. Ten jewelry maids brought and started loading their Sacred Queen with the jewell selection of the day that was nothing else than pure flawless white diamonds. Her fingers were ehgarlanded with huge solitaires, Her wrists and braces were loaded with endless bracelets, chains, bullions and rivieras. Her bossom and neck were engarlanded with three huge diamond necklaces and Her ears were loaded with five pairs of solitaire earings too. Onto Her divine head, a sparlkling diamond tiara was fixed and several other ouches were engarlanding the back side of her head and her curls. Some more bracelets and ankle chains were applied on Her legs and feet  and finally an incredibly sparkling golden belt was tighten over Her slim waist.

And finally it was time for the cloak. One of the dressing maids, fell down and asked:
--What will be Goddess's choice of the day?

-I am in the mood of orange today!
- Yes, my sacred Goddess, she said, kissing the marble floor at the feet of the Goddess.

- You will have my cloak waiting for Me at the front hall.

- Yes, my sacred Goddess!

- You and you, come with me! - Goddess kicked five of slaves that were laying at Her feet with her sandals.

-"Thank you, most Sacred Goddess and Divine Queen, " they all said.

Goddess Yanara was always wandering around with at least five leashed males.
Goddess went to the front hall walking onto the backs of the slaves that were formatting Her human carpet. All the other of the hundreds of slaves, maids and concubines were lied aside the human corridor and they were trying to lay their tongues over the fine bejewed leather of Goddess's shoes but it was very difficult as She had a fast pace. Already in the hall the two cloak dressing maids were waiting with a dream of orange see-through cloak in their hands. They fixed the incredibly long cloak on the shoulders of the Goddess, and they removed Her tiara from Her divine head and put a golden Isis crown. The goddess was now ready to go out for a walk. The five selected slaves were prostrating naked inside the Goddess's palace, waiting to follow their divine Owner.

a slave talks about groveling...

From Femdemocracy....
Femdemocracy is a never drying source of inspiration to Me

Groveling, this worm most respectfully suggests, has two components: the physical and the verbal.
Physical groveling is crawling as low as possible in the dirt at the feet of the Mistress or Goddess, the slave’s all-powerful Owner. Most are familiar with the levels of bowing. The mildest is the lowering of eyes and sometimes the neck bending forward (“Don’t make eye contact”). Then the slight bow at the waist, the deep bow, then kneeling on one knee, then both, then crawling on all fours, and finally the kow-tow, with the face against the floor at or lower than the Goddess’s feet.
This point is where genuine groveling begins. A slave will press its entire body to the floor (or the dirt) and approach the Goddess like a worm. licking the edges of Her boot-soles until or unless She lifts a foot to signal that Her slave is to lick the crud from the bottom of Her soles. The symbolism is obvious.
The verbal component of groveling is more complex, although it depends initially on permission, direct or implied, that the slave is allowed to speak to the Goddess at all. There are many levels and intricacies involved; most depend on the taste and preference of (to coin a term) the grovelee. She may, for instance, not permit Her slave to refer to itself with a name or a pronoun, since this would imply that the slave is a person. Often, a slave must speak of itself (as here) in the third person, and as a thing,”it,” and use roundabout constructions like “Would it please Mistress to allow Her slave to fetch Her flogger?” (the term “fetch” implying a dog-like status for the slave).
If this is to elaborate for Mistress’s taste, She may direct otherwise; naturally, Her wish is law and must be obeyed without question.
The question of capitalizing pronouns, though it applies only to written discourse, is also one that defers to Mistress’s wish. Many slaves, particularly those with a background in traditional or theological taste, feel it confers a divine status upon the Mistress to capitalize pronouns that refer to Her, as this writer does almost always (nouns synonymous with Mistress, Goddess, Dominatrix or Owner also rate capitals in this protocol). Another level of modesty and self-abnegation is for the slave, if it has a name, to omit capitalizing that name, as well as referring to itself by a neutral and impersonal term like “it.” A few very submissive writers even go to the extreme of spelling HER, SHE and so forth in all-caps, although this has a connotation of angry screaming in on-line texts.
Some Mistresses even forbid slaves to have names, simply calling them “slave” or some demeaning term like “dog,” “pig” or “worm.” Again, the choice is for Mistress to make and Her slave to obey. Often, sentences need to be constructed carefully to avoid conflict with these principles and the general rules that sentences begin with a capital letter.
There is also a question of whether Mistress, Herself, wishes to use a capitalized “Me” or “My” (in English, though not most other languages, “I” is conventionally capitalized, and some subversives use a lower-cased “i” to reinforce their humility). Mistress may feel that She need not glorify Herself with capitalized pronouns, but She may permit Her slave to do so. Others may feel that, as Superior Beings, They deserve the deification. Some, particularly the eminently practical, may reject all such trappings. Again, Her choice rules in this philosophical world of Female Superiority and Domination.
One must add, finally, that Richard, the genial proprietor of this website, amiably allows every contributor to use the style She, she, he , He or it prefers — not to mention the grammar, spelling and general style and tone that the writer wishes. This humble bootlicker, and indeed everyone posting here, is deeply grateful for the opportunity to participate, rant, whimper, whine, agree or disagree on these various DOMK sites.
